Before you start
You need your public website address and access to its WordPress administrator account.
Your WordPress plan must allow plugin installation. Ask your site manager for help if you cannot open Plugins.
- Your Tin account
- Holds your site's setup and connection.
- The Tin GEO plugin
- Adds the companion tools Tin uses on WordPress.
- WordPress approval
- Gives Tin a separate credential to access your site.
1. Scan your website
Select Start WordPress setup above. Enter your website address and run the scan.
In your report, find the Tin GEO offer and select Get named for $1.
This opens the account and connection steps. Starting the scan does not connect WordPress or start a subscription.
2. Create your Tin account
Under Create your account, select Create account and finish the signup form. Sign in instead if you already have an account.
Keep the setup page open until your account finishes loading. The WordPress connection step becomes available after account setup.
3. Install the companion plugin
Open your WordPress admin in another tab.
- Download the Tin GEO plugin ZIP. Keep it zipped.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP, select Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
The plugin and the connection do different jobs. WordPress can approve Tin's access without this plugin.
Install the companion plugin for its GEO tools, then return to your Tin setup tab.
4. Approve the WordPress connection
In Connect WordPress, open the WordPress connection card and enter your site address.
Select Approve on your site. Sign in to your own WordPress admin if asked, then approve Tin's request.
WordPress creates an application password for Tin. This is separate from your normal login password.
If approval is unavailable, choose Paste a password instead. In WordPress, open Users → Profile → Application Passwords.
Create one named Tin Computer. Enter it with your WordPress username in Tin, then select Connect WordPress.
Use the application password here, never your normal WordPress login password.
5. Check the connection state
After successful authorization, the setup screen is designed to show: Site connected. One step left.
The subscription step follows the connection. Review the current price and checkout terms before starting it.
A connected site confirms access. It does not confirm that a first run finished or that changes reached your website.

A complete signed-in installation and the promised outputs remain unverified in our end-to-end checks.
If you cannot connect
Check that your website address is correct and your WordPress account has administrator access.
If the application password was revoked, reconnect with a new one. You can revoke Tin's access under Users → Profile.
For help, send the error text and your website address to Tin support. Never send passwords.
